User feedback: What users write about Audiffex products
In the end of the last year we had performed an analysis of the user feedback and we are honestly disclosing, what users appreciate and what they are missing in our software.
We are pleased to have very positive feedback from users writing us directly. But we had also collected the comments published on various servers, either positive or negative. We have selected the frequently mentioned pros and cons:
Requested features and problems disappointing users:
- Sustain - especially when playing without an accompaniment, the sustain has too steep fading. Reported at the Musician Friend's website for our older GT Player.
Our response: inTone applications have added a downwards expander as an alternative to noise gate. Now we are working on a quite new set of dynamic plug-ins, making the setting of long sustain much easier.
- ASIO drivers - GT Player or inTone cannot be launched, reporting missing ASIO drivers .
Our response: inTone has improved the detection of audio drivers. However, drivers must be properly installed, we have several articles covering the driver issues in our Classroom section.
- Missing Audio Unit versions, GarageBand compatibility.
Our response: Yes, this is our goal No. 1. We are a both-platform company, so our choice was VST, even before Audio Units were introduced. But taking the Mac support seriously, Audio Units are the necessary.
