
The most frequent issues and their solutions
for inTone and interFX applications
I don't see effects
- Select a program and load it. (Up/Downarrows and LOAD or the SELECT button in the new versions and NRV interFX) Do you see effects now?
- NO: Click the LAYOUT button and select a layout containing plug-ins.
- YES: Great!
- Check your preferences. The option to see or to hide plugins when a program is loaded is settable in the General Pane.
- Open the effect editors one by one in the Program Editor (Click EDIT on the upper rack and then click the E buttons beside each effect button).
I hear no sound
The POWER button must be ON.
- Do you see input meters showing signal?
- NO: Click OPTIONS, go to Preferences - Audio pane and check, whether you have selected the proper audio interface for input and output. On PC, the input and the output must be plugged to one device
- YES: Go to step 2
- Click BYPASS (Led must lit). Do you hear anything now?
- NO: You have the instrument in the wrong channel. Open the Program Editor (EDIT button) and set up input channels. The newer versions have this switch under the input level knob.
- YES: Go to step 3
- Click the EDIT Button. If the first effect in the Editor is NG Noise Gate or EG Expander Gate, open its editor (E button) and decrease the Threshold Level.
- NO: Check the input and output knobs both on your hardware, speakers and our application. Check the control panel of the audio interface.
- YES. Great!
- The problem should be solved. We have no more tips :-)
The sound is terribly delayed (PC version)
You are using the ASIO Multimedia emulation
- Do you see ASIO driver with your interface name in the audio preferences?
- NO: Go to step 2
- YES: Select it.
- Is an ASIO driver for your HW available?
- NO:
You have chosen very cheap and low quality interface. You may try free universal driver asio4all, but its setup is not easy.
- YES: Install it and go to step 1.
- The problem should be solved. We have no more tips :-)
