VST Hosting:
What is VST?
Virtual Studio Technology developed by Steinberg is one of technologies allowing to open software effects and instruments in various applications. Read more about this plug-in concept here.
- Audiffex applications can open 3rd party plug-ins. If the plug-ins are properly installed on your system, they are accessible in the Program Editor (EDIT button)
- You can combine 3rd party effects and instruments with the effects bundled in our applications.
ReWire:
What is ReWire?
ReWire is a technology developed by Propellerheads allowing to connect output from one application to input of another application.
- You can use ReWire to connect output from ReWire device to be mixed and recorded in our applications with ReWire support. If you need some multitrack sequencer input, you can connect e.g. Ableton Live or Propellerheads Reason.
Notes:
The ReWire device must be started after our host application
Our applications are ReWire mixers, so they need a ReWire device as a source of audio. The mixer cannot be connected to another mixer, so e.g. Cubase and GT Player cannot be connected by ReWire.
Plug-Ins:
- GT Player and possibly more applications are shipping as VST and AudioUnit plug-ins. So they can be opened in any VST or AudioUnit host. Please refer to the manual of your audio applications whether they can open Audio Units or VST plug-ins.
